Editor's note: After we posted this story, evleaks deleted the original tweet and followed up with another tweet that read, "Pulled the 'Nexus 10' tweet. Was sent to multiple publications, along with slightly differing 'corroborating evidence.' Signs of a hoax."

The next-generation of Nexus 10 could be the first tablet to run Android 4.5, or so says the Twitter account evleaks.

According to a recent tweet, Samsung will manufacture the tablet and include a display resolution of 2,560x1,600 pixels, a 5-megapixel main camera, and a 3-megapixel camera around front. What's more, it may run on a Samsung Exynos 5 processor, have 3GB of RAM, and come in 16GB and 32GB storage options.

As to the accuracy of this report, well, that's where things get muddy. Even the leaker himself says he "cannot vouch for this." On the other hand, Pocket-lint received an image today that shows the tablet from a different angle.

Take a look at the clock on this render and you'll see the time reads as 4:50. A hint of Android 4.5? Perhaps (or maybe it's just good Photoshop). The wallpaper bears a resemblance to that found on the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7; meanwhile, the notification bar and bottom row are translucent and match KitKat's design rules.

For what it's worth, Samsung isn't the only hardware maker rumored to supply the Nexus 10 successor. Whispers and leaks over the last few months have indicated that the tablet could come from Asus or LG instead.

Fortunately, we might not have to wait all that long to find out which company is behind the curtain. Both the 16GB and 32GB versions of the current Nexus 10 are listed as out of stock if you check Google Play today.

While I am interested in the next generation of Nexus tablets, I am more curious about the alleged Android 4.5 build. What features or developer tools could be on the horizon?
